Hawes Road north and south of Ocotillo Road in Queen Creek will remain closed through Friday, March 22. The closure began on March 9.
The closure is part of the Ocotillo road improvement project, said Mandley Rust, senior project manager for Queen Creek's Capital Improvements department, in a Facebook video.
A water line is beling placed at the intersection. Ocotillo will remain open while the water line is installed.
Currently, all traffic on Ocotillo has been moved to the south side of the road as the contractor builds the north side of Ocotillo.
"We will continue to work on the north side, as well as the intersections at Hawes and Sossaman," Rust said. "We have recently completed the south side of the road with paving and landscaping. The paving is continuing along the north side of the road."
Rust said the project is expected to continue to the end of this year.
