Multiple free pool events to be offered in Tempe

Tempe schedules four free pool events for April and summer.

Tempe families are invited to cool off at four free all-ages events guaranteed to make a splash.
The first event kicks off Tempe's wave season in April, with several other events at Tempe pools this summer, a city release stated.
April Pools Day
April 6, 1-5 p.m. at Kiwanis Wave Pool
Featuring water safety activities, CPR demos, swim lessons, waves and a visit from Tempe Fire Medical Rescue.
Float-In Movie
June 14, 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Escalante Pool
Enjoy music, games, refreshments, the Tempe Play Mobile and a float-in movie.

June 22, 2-4 p.m. at Clark Pool
A series of free, fun family events held at community pools across the Valley, where you can win water safety resources and prizes like life jackets, swim lesson vouchers and other prizes.
McClintock Poolapalooza
July 13, 6-9 p.m. at McClintock Pool
Play games, enjoy music and frozen treats and win cool prizes.
All events are free and open to the public, offering a safe and enjoyable environment. There is limited capacity for each event, admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, the release explained
Tempe's pools and splash pads are the perfect way to stay cool and active, the release stated. Ride a wave at Kiwanis Wave Pool, take a dive in the McClintock Pool or make a splash in the Escalante Pool.
Pool hours and admission fees vary by location. Tempe's free splash pads will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. April through October.
