The Sun City West Desert Garden Club will host a workshop 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the R.H. Johnson Social Hall. All RCSCW cardholders are welcome.

The topic will be “Helping Your Plants Survive If Another Extreme Heat Summer Occurs.” Extreme heat slows and damages the growth of roots, decreases the ability of plants to make food and breathe and increases the water stress on the plant by the loss of water vapor through its leaves.

The presenter will be Ben McGonigle, of Design Tree Maintenance.
