Community puzzle returning to Sun City West soon

Posted

Sun City West residents will have an opportunity to take part in building the community puzzle again this summer at the R.H. Johnson Library, 13801 Meeker Blvd.

This is the 12th year the community puzzle has been offered to residents. This year's puzzle is "Mickey  Through the Years" is made up of 40,320 pieces.

This puzzle is made up of images from the past 90 years of the iconic Disney character, Mickey Mouse.  Vivian Hennessey, donates the summer community puzzle every year in honor of her husband, Jim.

The clock for this year’s puzzle begins ticking at 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 31, and will continue every day during the library’s normal operating hours until the project is completed.

There will be a sign-up sheet to count how many participated and how many hours it took to complete the puzzle. The library will also have a fun game available for the community where residents can attempt to guess what day this year’s puzzle will be completed.

All guesses must be turned into the library by Friday, June 7.  Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
