A member of Sun City Christian Church noticed the long lines developing at the Valley View Community Food Bank, 10771 W. Peoria Ave., so she challenged the congregation to increase their donations to the site.
Two anonymous donors offered a combined challenge of $250 if the members could donate at least 250 food items to the food bank. The challenge was met and a total of $790 in cash was also collected.
