The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 4102 W. Union Hills Drive, is featuring the artwork of local artists Donna Berger and Marion Wishnefski.
A reception was recently held at the church to mark the opening of the exhibit and to introduce the artists to the community.
Berger and Wishnefski are trained artists who are proficient in a number of different media including oil, acrylic, graphite, batik, charcoal and alcohol ink, to name a few. Both enjoy painting from nature, especially animals and flowers.
Wishnefski’s work includes abstract paintings of flowers created with chains. Berger’s includes paintings of animals on rocks.
Both artists are members of Palo Verde Artists and Artists by the Lake in Sun City and accept commissions.
The exhibit runs through June 6 and is open for viewing 10:15 a.m.-2:45 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and 7:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Sunday.
