The Queen Creek Police Department is currently hiring police officer recruits.
“QCPD is seeking recruits who align with the organization’s philosophy of community-based policing and serving with respect, compassion and trust,” according to a press release.
New hires are tentatively expected to start the police academy beginning in September 2024. Upon successful completion of the academy, recruits will attend post-academy training at the Queen Creek Police Department before completing a field training program.
“We are excited to bring additional police recruits onto our team,” stated QCPD Chief Randy Brice, the release. “It is important that we find the right people that are prepared to deliver first-class service to our community and are aligned with our vision to connect, engage, and succeed together. We are committed to identifying and hiring individuals who demonstrate a service mindset, embrace teamwork, and are ready to contribute to the mission of ensuring Queen Creek remains a safe place to live, work, and play.”
QCPD is entering a period of growth as it adds and expands services to support its community-oriented and intelligence-led policing strategies. This growth will include:
New and expanded specialty assignments
In-service training and career development opportunities
The latest equipment and technology
Rapidly expanding public safety facility infrastructure
The minimum qualifications for the officer recruit positions include:
A high school diploma, GE, or equivalent
At least 21 years of age (or attain the age of 21 by the completion of police academy graduation, which is anticipated to be sometime in February 2025);
No felony convictions (or conviction for any offense that would be a felony if committed in Arizona).
