April is National Volunteer Month and Tera Johnson, a Glendale resident and a senior living advisor from Assisted Living Locators Phoenix, is making an impact in the lives of seniors through her volunteer work.
Johnson dedicates her time to painting the nails of seniors throughout the West Valley.
In addition to her volunteer efforts, she provides no-cost guidance in locating assisted living and in-home care options, servicing Central Phoenix and West Valley areas.
Her initiative, which began at Diamondback Health and Memory Care in West Phoenix, has expanded to other facilities, bringing a touch of beauty and a moment of personal connection to the seniors she serves. Johnson’s efforts are more than just a cosmetic service; they uplift the spirits of residents.
“It’s amazing how something as simple as painting nails can brighten a resident’s day,” Johnson stated in a press release. “I feel honored to be able to provide this small gesture of care and to see the smiles it brings to their faces.”
Angela Olea, a registered nurse and the founder and brand president of Assisted Living Locators, praised Johnson’s commitment to serving the senior community.
“Tera’s volunteer work is a shining example of the positive impact our advisors can make in the lives of seniors,” Olea stated. “Her dedication to providing moments of joy and connection is truly inspiring.”
Johnson’s volunteer work serves as a reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. As National Volunteer Month continues, Assisted Living Locators encourages others to find ways to contribute to their communities.
