Peoria Police Citizens’ Academy Alumni present at recent chamber meeting

Posted

The Peoria Police Citizens’ Academy Alumni recently presented an overview of their organization to the Peoria Chamber of Commerce at their monthly breakfast.

The breakfast was hosted by the Peoria Police Department at their downtown Peoria headquarters.

The presentation highlighted PPCAA’s vital partnership with the Peoria Police Department over the past several years.

PPCAA’s donations of electronic bikes, a canine, gym equipment, a trailer for the department’s honor guard are a few examples of the support the PPCAA has provided to the department.  PPCAA members said they are extremely proud of the support they have provided to the city's heroines and heroes in blue for several years.

The mission of the PPCAA is to foster and promote a partnership among the community, the alumni, and the Peoria Police Department to aid in providing a safe and secure environment for Peoria Police officers and the residents they serve and protect.

PPCAA is a charitable, fundraising organization that supports the mission of the Peoria Police Department and the Peoria Police Citizens' Academy.

PPCAA volunteers are passionate about supporting law enforcement men and women and promoting positive community relations.

The organization fosters increased awareness regarding operations and practices of the Peoria Police Department.

It also helps coordinate efforts among the PPCAA, the Peoria Police Department and the community, as well as pursues a wide range of resources from grants and contributions to donations to support these efforts.
