Drozd: Was Biden out of line on SOTU?

Posted

When critiquing President Biden’s state of the union address, please note that I am not a fan of either Presidents Biden or Trump.

President Biden is using government resources to bash what he called “my predecessor” was an insult to the American people and a violation of his constitutional obligations, the Hatch Act, and his oath of office according to Article II of the Constitution, the president shall give to Congress information on the State of the Union.

Instead, President Biden continually chose to bash his opponent.

Referring to the Congressional ethics code, it clearly states that government funds should not be spent to help incumbents gain reelection and according to the White House Executive Branch, the President is responsible for enforcing the Congressional laws.

In addition to cheating the American people by failing to give a full report, he cheated the media out of income by using free airtime to politicize his candidacy.

As a Pennsylvania State Senator and Supreme Court Justice were tried and convicted for similar violations, why should he not also stand the test?
