Tempe couple to open 10 new Port of Subs locations

Posted

Iconic sandwich brand Port of Subs is set to rock the Grand Canyon State with 10 additional locations, courtesy of Tempe restauranteurs Kevin and Sandra Johnson, seasoned veterans with a dynamic history in the industry.

Having previously conquered the culinary landscape with franchises like Edo Japan and Wetzel's Pretzels, the Johnsons bring a wealth of experience to the table, a press release explained.

Kevin Johnson, a driving force behind Edo Japan's rise, has now set his sights on Port of Subs, recognizing it as a tried-and-true brand with a 50-year legacy of operational excellence and continuous growth.

"The decision to invest in a franchise concept boils down to two things – the product and the business's trajectory," Kevin Johnson stated in the release. "With Port of Subs, it was crystal clear. This is a brand with a product I believe in and a legacy that continues to thrive. Not many brands can boast a 50-year legacy, so joining forces was a no-brainer for us."

The Johnsons are on a mission, actively seeking passionate franchisees to join the Port of Subs revolution, according to the release. The 10-unit expansion is set to make waves in the East Valley, landing in the communities of Tempe, Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert.

“Our growth journey has hit a new high, thanks in part to the visionaries in our Regional Developer program,” Healey Mendicino, president of Port of Subs, stated in the release. “It's exciting to have established restauranteurs like Kevin and Sandra onboard. We’re thrilled to see their growth and support them as they take over their first unit in Tempe.”
