UMOM New Day Centers announces 2023 Buckles & Bangles Gala

Posted

UMOM New Day Centers, a provider of shelter, housing and supportive services for single women and families in Maricopa County, announces its 14th annual Buckles & Bangles Gala will be Friday, Oct. 13 at Copper Canyon at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort, 7575 E. Princess Drive.

UMOM New Day Centers has been leading the efforts in the Metro Phoenix community to end homelessness since 1964. Its mission is to restore hope, rebuild lives and end homelessness by providing emergency shelter, supportive services and affordable housing. UMOM also operates the Family Housing Hub, the coordinated entry point in Maricopa County for all families experiencing homelessness. Last year UMOM served nearly 16,000 people.

The Buckles & Bangles western-themed al fresco event features live entertainment, dancing and bidding on live and silent auction items.

“Since 2021 there has been a 40% increase in homelessness in the Phoenix metro area and the waitlist to get into UMOM’s emergency shelter is more than eight weeks,” said Kristen Campbell, Buckles & Bangles Event Chair. “Raising significant funds at this year’s event is more important than ever before.”

Limited seating is still available. To purchase a table or tickets to the event visit umom.org/gala or contact Sara Phillips at sphillips@umom.org or 602-753-3810.
