Scottsdale Police begin Cinco de Mayo DUI task force
Posted
The Scottsdale Police Department, in collaboration with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, will be conducting a DUI Task Force from May 4 through May 7, for Cinco De Mayo.
Also participating in the DUI Task Force will be the following agencies:
Chandler Police Department
Department of Public Safety
Gilbert Police Department
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office
Mesa Police Department
Phoenix Police Department
Salt River Police Department
Tempe Police Department
The goal of the officers assigned to the Task Force is to contact those drivers that have made the disastrous decision to drive impaired and remove them from the roadway before they hurt themselves or others.
Police officials say, the best choice someone can make, should they plan on consuming alcoholic beverages or using recreational marijuana, is to also plan an alternate form of transportation that does not involve them operating a motor vehicle.
Designate a sober driver, use a ride share service, or find a taxicab.
Please drive safely or find an alternate way home.
