I am excited about covering Sun City and the community here. I’m passionate about the Pittsburgh Steelers and our great military, which I retired from in 2020 after 23 years as a Marine and Soldier, with deployments during Operations Desert Shield/Storm and Afghanistan. Although new to Independent Newsmedia, I have been writing for more than 30 years, primarily for the Marines and Army, but I have more than a decade of covering a three-county area in Mississippi for a daily newspaper. I graduated from Cactus High School in Glendale in 1987, but only returned to this area about three years ago. It’s good to be home!
