Recreation Centers of Sun City West will have an opportunity to learn more about the association and voice their concerns.

The 2023 RCSCW annual membership meeting is scheduled 9 a.m. Thursday, June 22 in the Palm Ridge Recreation Center Summit Hall, 13800 W. Deer Valley Drive. The June governing board regular meeting will take place at the conclusion of the annual meeting.

Residents can attend the meeting in person or at RCSCW Governing Board Annual Owner-Member Meeting and Regular Meeting - Thursday, June 22, 2023 - YouTube.

Christine Hedberg, Sun City West resident, wrote on the Recreation Centers of Sun City West Facebook page, asking why the annual meeting is help when so many residents are away for the summer. Adding, understanding the fiscal year schedule, is it possible to make adjustments.

Association officials responded, informing Hedberg the bylaws require the annual meeting to be held in June. In addition, the governing board could vote to change the fiscal year to January through December, but that would be the annual meeting during the holidays when many residents travel.
