INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
Phoenix’s Shared Micromobility Program is now operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The change from 5 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. took effect March 1 and will continue for six months after which the program will be reviewed, officials said.
Launched permanently in January 2023 with vendors Lime and Spin, the program includes the shared rental use of e-scooters, e-bikes, traditional pedal bikes and adaptive bikes.
The program operates in the city's downtown core, as well as areas to the south, west and east of downtown.
During the 24/7 pilot program, customers using the vehicles between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. will be required to take a late-night rider reaction test available through each vendor's app, according to a city release.
