Peoria police have arrested a man in connection with taking photos underneath a woman's dress at a local store last month, according to a release.
On April 11 at about 10 a.m., Peoria Police Department detectives arrested Anthony Strope, 28 of Phoenix, on two counts of surreptitious photographing. Strope self-surrendered to Peoria Detectives at the Peoria Police Department and will later be booked into the 4th Avenue Jail.
The investigation began on March 6 when Strope allegedly knelt down inside the Target located at 4890 N. Lake Pleasant Parkway in north Peoria and placed a phone under a woman's skirt.
"With the outstanding partnerships of Target, the media and our citizens we were able to quickly identify the subject in the video surveillance video as Anthony Strope," the release stated.
During the investigation, officials learned Strope matched the suspect description of a similar incident at a Target in Phoenix on Feb. 2. He wore the same clothing and committed the same offense, according to the release.
Police arrested Strope for that incident as well. Peoria detectives are handling both incidents.
