Author Mary Vensel White comes to Arizona on Aug. 26 and 27 for book signing events in Tempe and Flagstaff.
Her latest book, “Things to See in Arizona,” follows Tuesday Mayes, who has her heart set on attending Northern Arizona University, but after a recent health diagnosis, her chances are threatened, a press release explained. When her father goes missing, she embarks on a journey to find him with her longtime crush, Cristian Robles.
White will be tracing the characters' route when she visits the state at the end of August, and readers are encouraged to visit the Arizona sites by using an interactive map and the hashtag #thingstoseeinarizona.
The author has a stop planned at the Barnes & Noble in Tempe Marketplace, Saturday, Aug. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
White is also the author of “Starling,” “Bellflower,” and “The Qualities of Wood.” Her short fiction and essays have appeared in numerous publications, the release explained.
She is an English and writing professor, owner/editor at Type Eighteen Editing, owner/publisher at Type Eighteen Books and president of the California Writers Club’s Orange County branch.
