The Hale Centre Theatre has begun a nine-week run for a crime thriller, “Wait Until Dark.”
The play, based on the 1967 Audrey Hepburn film, runs Mondays and Tuesdays at the theater, 50 W. Page Ave., Gilbert, from Sept. 20-Nov. 22. The play will not run Oct. 3-4.
The plot involves a sinister con man and two ex-convicts who are about to meet their match after tracing a valuable doll to the apartment of a blind woman. The men hatch a plot against her, but she uncovers their charade, and a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m. each night. A 4 p.m. show is added Oct. 18 and 25 and for all November dates. Tickets run $30 for youth and $45 for adults.
