An Arizona state trooper was among several five people injured in a collision in the Surprise area.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7 near Grand Avenue and R.H. Johnson Boulevard.
DPS said the trooper suffered minor injuries in the collision. The Surprise Fire-Medical Department said four others were injured, including one who was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
An AT&T vehicle appeared to be one of four vehicles involved in the collision. A spokesperson referred to authorities for the condition of the vehicle's operator.
DPS continues to investigate the cause of the collision. Surprise police were on scene to assist.
R.H. Johnson and Sunrise boulevards were closed at Grand Avenue well past noon while officials investigated. The Maricopa County Department of Transportation tweet the roads' reopening before 2 p.m. Friday.
