Bond office redevelopment in Phoenix adds award-winning chef

George Oliver Design partners with Mark Tarbell as food, beverage provider

Bond, the office redevelopment at the corner of Camelback Road and 32nd Street in Phoenix, has partnered with a food and beverage services provider.

Bond features almost 290,000 square feet over three stories, including a central atrium bordered by office space and extensive conference space spanning a 120-person training room, 14-person conference rooms, individual and group teleconference rooms, day offices, a podcast studio, and a library space.

A highlight of the conferencing center is a 22-person boardroom, which will sit in a glass box overlooking the atrium.

Phoenix-based developer George Oliver LLC has partnered with award-winning chef and entrepreneur Mark Tarbell to run all food and beverage services at the developer’s latest hospitality-inspired office transformation, located in the heart of Phoenix’s Camelback Corridor.

Tarbell will oversee all food and beverage offerings at Cultivate, Bond’s full-service coffee, cocktail and food service bar, and at The Vault, the speakeasy cocktail experience hidden in Bond’s sub level. Tarbell will also offer catering services for on-site meetings and an on-site food delivery service available at individual tenant spaces and throughout the building.

Tarbell’s local Phoenix operations include the award-winning Tarbell’s Restaurant, T’s Wine Bar, The Wine Store and Tarbell’s Catering, as well as The Tavern, The Express and The Goods locations at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

“Our vision for Bond is to curate the new workplace for the Valley’s top companies,” Curt Kremer, George Oliver founder and managing partner, shared in a press release. “In our first meeting with Mark and his team, we knew we had the right (food and beverage) partner. Mark’s passion for service is only second to his passion for food.”

A graduate of Paris’ Ecole du Cuisine La Varenne and l'Academie du Vin, Tarbell is a two-time inductee into the Arizona Hall of Culinary Fame, a James Beard Award nominee, winner of Food Network’s “Iron Chef America,” and has earned five Emmy Awards as the host of Arizona PBS programs “Plate and Pour” and “Check, Please! Arizona.”

“We intend to deliver food and beverage selections that match the highest level of creativity, thoughtfulness and quality,” Tarbell stated. “Bond is also about hospitality and connection, and there’s no easier way to connect than through exceptional food or a great cocktail in a ‘just-right’ setting.”

The overall renovations for Bond are delivering in phases, with the first phase planned for completion in mid-2024. Office spec suites and tenant spaces delivered in November of this past year with move-in-ready spaces available.

Bond is located at 3200 E. Camelback Road.

George Oliver Design leads the design and architecture for Bond. RSG Builders is the general contractor. CBRE is the on-site property management team. Ryan Timpani and Brett Thompson of JLL are the exclusive leasing brokers.
