Blue Santas pick up toys in Glendale, Mesa, Phoenix

Next week marks the 38th Annual Blue Santa 911 Toy Drive, with pick-up days across the Valley.

W. Steven Martin established the 911 Toy Drive to provide support for public safety personnel, allowing them to get toys into the hands of children and youth and help create a positive interaction that will define that child’s attitude towards the officers.

The 38th Annual 911 Toy Drive/Blue Santa Days is open to any sworn officer wishing to participate by adopting one or two families. The officer then collects toys the public can donate in order to deliver them to families in need during the holidays.

Police Santas have shared thousands of stories of success as a direct result of this program. Hundreds of sworn officers have pre-registered over a thousand children and will be picking up toys on the days and times listed below.

Organizers thank to Courtesy Chevrolet, as well as Courtesy Chrysler Dodge RAM and S&K Oil Sales, for once again hosting the toy pick-up.

The toy pick up events are not open to the public.

Blue Santa Toy Pick-Up Schedule

• Wednesday, December 20 - 9 a.m. - Noon at  Courtesy Chevrolet, 1233 E. Camelback Road, Phoenix.

• Thursday, December 21 - 9 a.m. - Noon at Courtesy Chrysler Dodge RAM of Superstition Springs, 6130 E. Auto Park Drive, Mesa.

• Friday, December 22 - 9 a.m. - Noon at the Toy Drive Warehouse at S&K Oil Sales, 5365 N. 51st Ave. Suite 102, Glendale.

Officers that do not pre-register for the Blue Santa Pick-Up may shop for toys on Friday, Dec. 22,  from 9 a.m. until noon at the 911 Toy Drive Warehouse located inside the S&K Oil Sales Warehouse in Glendale.

Residents who can’t make it to a drop-off location and need their donations picked up should email w.stevenmartin@cox.net.
