The Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board is hosting its monthly meeting April 15.

Following the recommendations from the Center for Diseases Control and Prevention, physical attendance at the meeting will be limited to AZPOST Board members and necessary staff only.

Click here to view the meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 15.

Some Board members and staff may attend electronically. Agency heads requesting a petition for waiver will have access online to address the Board.

Individuals or their attorneys, as final action review, will also have access online to address the Board.

Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Arizona POST Board endeavors to ensure the accessibility of its meetings to all persons with disabilities. Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation, such as a sign language interpreter, by contacting Sandy Sierra at 602-774-9352. Requests should be made as early as possible to allow time to arrange the accommodation.

Upon a vote of the majority of a quorum, the Board may vote to go into Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(3) for the purpose of discussion or consultation for legal advice with the attorney or attorneys of the public body regarding any item on this agenda. The chair may take items out of order.

Among the items in the agenda is a Consent Agreement for Voluntary Relinquishment/Denial of Peace Officer Certification for officials with agencies including Phoenix, Peoria, Mesa and Tempe Police departments, most notably Joseph R. Jaen and Timothy F. Baiardi.

New cases for review, discussion and action include officials with Peoria, Mesa and Gilbert Police departments, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, and the Gila and Apache County Sheriff's offices.
