Chicanos Por La Causa is seeking nominations from across the state for this year’s Esperanza Latino Teacher Awards honoring the impact Latino teachers have on their students.

“I am proud of the fact that my dual roles converge in a way that lifts up these outstanding educators who are the hope for future generations,” said Delma Herrera, CPLC board chair and vice president of field services at Cox.

“This partnership supports our longtime Cox commitment to support youth and education in the communities where we do business.”

Winners will receive a $5,000 cash award and a $2,500 grant for their school.

To be nominated, educators must be full-time teachers and spend more than 50% of the time directly teaching students. The awards are open to any Pre-K to 12^th-grade teacher in any content area.

Nominees must have at least six full years as a fully accredited classroom teacher, have taught the last three years in Arizona and plan to continue in active teaching status through the 2024-2025 school year.
