The 1000 Voices Breakfast on Friday, Sept. 22 will raise both money and awareness for the Homeless ID Project.

The free breakfast at Arizona Country Club, 5668 E. Orange Blossom Lane, in Phoenix, begins with registration at 7 a.m., followed by breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and the program at 8 a.m. The event will end at 9 a.m.
Sponsors include Taylor Morrison, Nextiva, InfluenceLogic, LifeBrokers, Arizona Fly Shop, Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, Traditions Lath & Stucco, Inc., Cea Capa Education Abroad, Apache Pipelines, Inc., R&D Manco, PacWest Trading, LLC, Anthony Sarandrea, and Crossroads.
The 1000 Voices theme is based on the Homeless ID Project’s 100 Voices Campaign, an awareness campaign designed to generate money and discussion and shed light on the issue of homelessness.
“We want to engage with and encourage as many people as possible to bring their voices into the conversation to end homelessness in Arizona,” Homeless ID Project CEO Rick Mitchell shared in a press release.
Last year Homeless ID Project issued more than 12,000 identification documents and the nonprofit agency is on track to hit 17,000 this year.
“Without an ID, you’re invisible,” Mitchell stated. “If you’re living on the streets without an ID, the problem is even worse because you can’t get a job, mail, medical care, access to life-saving services or rent a home. Having an ID changes lives. Homelessness is a big messy problem and big messy problems are solved step by step. Homeless ID Project provides the first step.”
