Expansion of Queen Creek park continues

Phase 2 of the Mansel Carter Oasis Park expansion is progressing as summer draws ever closer.

The expansion will bring six sand volleyball courts, four pickle ball courts and six tennis courts. Behind the courts is a large passive green space.

“One special touch here at Manel Park Phase 2 is you've got the plaza in between the courts. When you're waiting for your game, when you're hanging out socializing, there's plenty of shade, plenty of seating, plenty of space to bring a lunch, hang out and play all day long,” said Adam Robinson, deputy director of Queen Creek’s Community Services department, in a reel on the town’s Facebook page.

Mansel Carter Oasis Park is located at 19535 E. Appleby Road.

The town broke ground on the approximately $10 million expansion in 2022. On March 9, a new pump track for bikes, scooters and skateboards opened as part of the ongoing expansion of the park.

The track was completed on schedule and ahead of Mansel Carter Oasis Park’s other new amenities, Robinson told the Queen Creek Independent just days before the track opened.

Along with the pump track, tennis, pickleball and sand volleyball courts , the 13-acre expansion will eventually include a restroom building and parking.

Amenities found on the original 48 acres of Mansel Carter Oasis Park include two lighted multipurpose fields, four lighted baseball fields, a playground, two sand volleyball courts, a 5-acre fishing lake, a skate plaza and the popular shipwreck-themed splash pad.
