Man dies day after being shot in Phoenix

A 37-year-old man died Tuesday after being shot May 6 in the 4000 block of North 51st Avenue, Phoenix police said.

Paul Albert Lopez Jr. died at a hospital after he was shot just before 11:30 p.m. May 6 near 51st Avenue and Indian School Road, police said.

Police were called to the scene and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a release.

Detectives said they learned the victim was arguing with two people just before the shooting occurred.

Anyone with information can call Phoenix police or Silent Witness, if they wish to remain anonymous, police said.
