The third installment of "Story Bridges: Peoria Oral Histories" will debut 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 at the Peoria Community Center, 8335 W. Jefferson St.
This event is produced by former Peoria city councilmember Vicki Hunt and showcases three videoed stories by people influential in Peoria’s history.
Admission is free.
This month’s presentation features Ken Johnson, 90-year-old Peoria pioneer who remembers when there were likely more tractors on the road than cars.
Telling her family’s story is Gertie Hickman, whose family began the Hickman egg dynasty with just a few baby chicks.
Also showcased is Tad Snidecor, a veteran who led the building of the Veterans Memorial at Rio Vista Park in Peoria.
Each of these folks will be there in person to answer questions after their video is shown.
WHAM Art Association and Peoria-West Valley Woman’s Club sponsor the event.
