Goodman Group takes over management of Peoria senior community

Ridges at Peoria Senior Living announced they are newly managed by Minnesota-based The Goodman Group, according to a news release.

The campus is the second in Arizona to be managed by the group and the 33rd nationwide.

Ridges at Peoria Senior Living, formerly known as Amethyst, is made up of three communities: Garden Ridge, Arbor Ridge and Senita Ridge.

Garden Ridge offers 244 residences of independent living and assisted living, Arbor Ridge offers 107 residences of assisted living and Senita Ridge offers 80 residences of memory care.

“We are thrilled to add Ridges at Peoria Senior Living to our portfolio,” Kim Te Brugge, vice president of senior living and health care at The Goodman Group, said in the release. “The buildings are beautiful and located on a picturesque campus. We look forward to joining the Peoria community and delivering an exceptional experience through Platinum Service®, our commitment to provide the highest level of service and put residents and their families at the heart of everything we do.”

The Goodman Group plans to implement a number of life-enriching programs that improve resident’s well-being and quality of life. Food for Life™ provides residents with a restaurant-style dining that offers healthy and fresh choices, and each menu features a variety of balanced food options that are lower in sodium, fat and calories. FIT Functional Fitness® is designed to help improve residents’ core strength, balance and cardiovascular health as well as promote relaxation.

Intergenerational Interactions brings children and older adults together to explore ideas and create meaningful experiences that foster growth, understanding and friendship. Valiant Veterans® recognizes those who have served in the U.S. military, as well as their family and friends, and honors their commitment to the country.

Soaring® supports residents’ spirits, helping them find peace, purpose, and happiness.

Senita Ridge’s Pearls of Life® memory care neighborhood will offer Montessori Inspired Lifestyle®, a positive approach to providing care for adults living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. This approach of care is based on the methods of Maria Montessori, as adapted for adults by Dr. Cameron Camp, founder of the Center for Applied Research in Dementia. This approach allows residents to focus on their individual strengths and engage in meaningful activities.

In addition to the Ridges at Peoria Senior Living campus, The Goodman Group manages The Peaks, a senior living community and The Peaks Health & Rehabilitation, located in Flagstaff, as well as Scottsdale Park Suites in Scottsdale.
