Pinal County Supervisor Jeff Serdy’s office recently met with leadership from Gold Canyon community groups to discuss a unified collaborative effort for the betterment of Gold Canyon into the future.

Groups included ADOBE — Association for the Development of a Better Environment; the chamber of commerce; GCCI — Gold Canyon Community Inc.; and SALT — Superstition Area Land Trust, according to a release from Pinal County.

All leaders in these organizations agreed to work closely together and align in synchronized planning, it states.

Topics of discussion included local transportation issues, the State Trust Lands surrounding Gold Canyon and critical conservation lands that make Gold Canyon a unique destination. The group also discussed working with Pinal County toward a Special Area Plan.
