It takes a community effort to make a positive impact in our beautiful region, nestled in the legendary Superstition Mountains. Your generous contributions have helped the Apache Junction Mounted Rangers to continue spreading joy among children and supporting various nonprofit organizations in Apache Junction. We sincerely thank you for allowing us to serve the community.
In the 2022-23 year, your donations went to these organizations: Apache Junction Police Department Angels on Patrol Program, Superstition Fire and Medical District, Apache Junction Library, Lost Dutchman Days Rodeo Queens fundraiser, Apache Junction Little League, AJ Black and Gold Football, Apache Junction elementary school families, Prospector basketball, Hope Women’s Center, Boys and Girls Club, Superstition Community Food Bank, Rhino Recreation Center-Buddy Benches, Avalon Charter School, plus more.
Our organization consists of volunteers from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared goal. We aim to promote the Western way of life, and therefore, we have a mounted unit with horses, a quad unit with all-terrain vehicles, and foot patrols. In addition, we undertake acts of kindness to serve others. Our uniforms reflect the Western lifestyle, featuring cowboy hats, shiny badges and cowboy boots.
Some of the duties that we do as Apache Junction Mounted Rangers are at the Superstition Mountain Museum events; Lost Dutchman Days Rodeo; Superstition Harley-Davidson in Apache Junction; the Blues and Brews event and Festival of the Superstitions, both at Flatiron Park; Dino Days at Flatiron Park; Dolce Vita Boys and Girls Club fundraiser; Lost Dutchman marathon; Tonto Twist; Walmart security at Christmas; Zoo Walk for Autism; Paws for a Cause; various rodeo queen events at the Apache Junction Rodeo Grounds; Memorial Day and Veterans Day parades, plus more.
Our membership is a close-knit community, much like a family. We’ve formed numerous friendships and the camaraderie among us is heartwarming. We’re constantly on the lookout for new volunteers to join our organization. If you’re interested in joining or simply curious about the Apache Junction Mounted Rangers, visit our website where you’ll find photos documenting our history dating back almost 30 years.
