P.E.O. chapter enters age of technology

Members of the P.E.O. Chapter DY, who reside in Sun City West, Surprise and Sun City, have been working hard to perfect their skills in learning how to participate in Zoom meetings.

Because of Covid-19, they have not gotten together for an in-person meeting since March 11. And they’re come a long way since their first remote effort July 9. They practiced several times a week, aware that their first regular business meeting would be held via Zoom in September.

More members participated in the practice sessions and started feeling more confident about their abilities. Most members are in Arizona, but some from the Midwest and Pacific Northwest have yet to migrate back to Arizona.

On Sept. 23, president Anne Baumhover efficiently conducted the first official P.E.O. meeting of the season with 19 members in attendance via Zoom or phone. [Submitted photos]
