Mitzner: Resident upset Sun City West pools not the cleanest

Posted

Am I being tested?

This past week I was swimming in the pool when a guy went into my lane and ran into me striking me in the head. I immediately reacted and he moved into the next lane that was empty. He said he did not see me. Smart move for him to immediately move into the next lane, as I would be the aggressor if I attacked and defended myself.

Last weekend I was swimming in the lane closest to the noodle people and guys were laying on the line in my lane. I challenged their unsanitary behavior and they backed-off. There was only one pool monitor for years, now I see 2-3 staff at the desk. They should be telling people to get off those lines as the lines will break and eventually pull the pins out of the concrete wall. That’s a few thousand bucks of our money gone for that repair. I helped your staff repair broken pins that were pulled out of the walls in the old pool.

Two Sundays back I saw plastic bottles laying on the ground, by the pool race platforms. Your staff are not patrolling the pool and at times busy talking. You must get a log book, for them to record each day the time they patrolled the pool area, arranging furniture, picking-up bottles and trash and cleaning/disinfecting. These water bottles on the ground is new. For as long as I could remember Sun City West seniors were very clean.

Black algae is back in the pool. Caused by filthy people, filthy pool cleaning equipment, not cleaning or inadequate pool filters, bad pool circulation, incompetent maintenance of things like pool pH. I have been told that you did not force the contractor to correct the problem and sue the pool designer for inadequate pool water circulation.

The problem will never end because of your neglect, and you refuse to put up signs asking people to shower before they enter the pool. Dirty swimsuits are on every list (when I get home I shower with my swimsuit so it is cleaned with soap and dried in the hot sun room).

Anyone want to publicly debate me?
