Farnlacher: Resident has interest in electric cars

I read the article on electric cars (“Possible electric cars, shuttle program in SCW,” Sun City West Independent, Dec. 23, 2020) with interest.
I have a few questions that are not answered in the article. Will there be any public input to this project? What will the cost be to the property owners in Sun City West? No cost for the first six months is mentioned in the news but what cost is there going forward and who will pay for it?
The location of R.H. Johnson Recreation Center for these Dash cars concerns me. If I want to use one of these cars, how do I get to their location? Drive my car? That seems pointless. Ride my bike? There’s no place to put groceries or to store my bike. Walk? Not a chance, I live 1.7 miles away. What kind of a “fee” will be charged to use the cars? By the hour/day/week?
A central location for these “community cars” is not a good idea.
The autonomous bus is a good idea but nothing is mentioned about any regular stops they will make. A bus that drives on a route like in big cities is the best idea! One that is electric is even better.
Somehow this “pilot project” is looking like an alpha test bed for other communities in Arizona. If that is where it is going then this project should have property owner input since that is who will ultimately be paying the bill.
As a side note, the person giving the presentation to the board is the owner and founder of the company that wants to do this project. What do we know of that company? Seems like a one-man-show! What experience does this company have?
I did watch the video on YouTube. Some of the questions were answered there but, not all of them.
