Curley: Resident offers idea to help some voters

I have an idea for the good people.

There are residents in Sun City West who are looking forward to voting in the upcoming election and need some assistance. They do not drive and want to vote. With all the media attention about ballots and mailing, they want to drop their completed ballot in the container at a local polling location. They want to see it go in the slot.

How about maybe PORA maintains a list of all those golf car owners who would volunteer their time to take people to a polling place to vote or drop off a completed ballot they were mailed and pick up people at the polling place after they voted or mailed their ballot?

All would be nonpartisan with no politics discussed.
