Benevilla’s West Valley Life Enrichment Day program will be host an open house 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 26 at the Church at Cactus, 8133 W. Cactus Road, Peoria.

One of four Benevilla Life Enrichment Programs, this stimulating and interactive program supports a diverse group of people with a wide range of care needs. The program provides daytime care for members with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease, as well as adults with disabilities or those disabled by a stroke who live in Peoria, Glendale and West Phoenix.

Activities are adapted for specific physical challenges to include everyone’s participation. Members have the best of all worlds — a socially inviting, club-like atmosphere with the support of amazing professionals and dedicated volunteers focused on the personal needs of each and every member. With a focus on socialization, activities include cognitive stimulation through brain games, meaningful activities, group exercise, a creative arts program, discussion groups, public outings and interaction with participant centric entertainment, including singing, dance and memory challenges. The program provides the latest in proven therapeutic methods for increased levels of happiness and engagement for all members.

The West Valley program has been in operation for more than 22 years. A specially designed “Essential Lifestyle” program is tailored for loved ones by an enrichment specialist and implemented by Benevilla staff. They will also receive morning and afternoon snacks and a nutritious lunch prepared fresh each day by Birt’s Bistro, a restaurant on the main Benevilla campus, 16752 N. Greasewood St., Surprise.

Outings, meals and social exchanges create enjoyable days for members, providing caregivers the perfect options for respite. Everyone can benefit from the opportunity to connect with others in meaningful ways, no matter their age or medical diagnosis. Stop by the West Valley Program and meet Anthony Arsiniega, West Valley Program director, and his staff of caring professionals making sure those meaningful experiences happen every day at the program and members lives are positively impacted with every visit. Benevilla Life Enrichment Day programs provide respite for family members caring for a loved one.

Call 623-584-4999 to reserve a space. Continuing Centers for Disease Control and Prevention COVID-19 safety guidelines will be followed and social distancing as well as masks are required. All who attend will receive a free swag bag.
