COVID case rise in Sun Cities remains low

More than half of residents vaccinated

The Arizona Department of Health Services reported the overall number of Sun Cities COVID-19 cases at 5,783 on May 14. That's an increase of less than 1% over the last week (5,741). Breaking it down by ZIP code, there were 2,302 in Sun City’s 85351 code and 1,606 in Sun City’s 85373 code, which includes areas of Peoria and Surprise. Sun City West’s 85375 ZIP code had 1,875 cases. These are cumulative case counts and do not reflect those who have recovered.

Here are the number of COVID-19 cases for ZIP codes that include the Sun Cities and some surrounding areas, according to the ADHS. ADHS officials said more than 90% of cases were mapped to the address of the patient’s residence:
