A man was arrested in connection with a wrong-way incident in the Northwest Valley.

Around 4:30 a.m., a wrong-way vehicle was reported to the Arizona Department of Public Safety in the area of U.S.60 and Loop 303.

Once troopers arrived in the area, DPS said they located a vehicle in the gore area of El Mirage Road facing wrong way. The operator was still in the vehicle and found to show signs consistent with impairment, DPS said.

Troopers arrested Timothy John Harcourt II, 44, of Surprise. He faces multiple charges including criminal damage.

The investigation is on going.
