Jan. 2 - SIERRA VISTA: Patterson Public Night Star Party – Patterson Observatory. Free open house observing events. 6 p.m. Visitors can call to check for cancelation due to clouds (recorded message available after 4 p.m. on the day of the event). 520-458-8278 ext 2214

Jan. 3-5 - MESA: Taiyou Con Anime Convention 2020 - Mesa Convention Center. Arizona's ultimate anime experience. Jan. 4 - BUCKEYE: 6th Annual Buckeye Marathon/Half Marathon/10K/5K and Obstacle Course – Buckeye Municipal Airport. This event will be run on a USATF Certified Course and serves as a Boston/National Qualifier. Jan. 4-26 - PHOENIX: Cabaret – Herberger Theater Center. Cliff Bradshaw, an American author working on a novel in Berlin, encounters Sally Bowles, a talented cabaret performer, at the seedy Kit Kat Klub where she sings. When she is fired by the club’s owner, also her jealous boyfriend, she moves in with Cliff and the two fall in love. For all the exuberant song and dance, the most powerful aspect of Cabaret remains the political wallop that it delivers.
