The FBI and Tempe Police Department are seeking the public's help to locate an accomplice in the theft of an armored vehicle.

On Thursday, Juan Carlos Ramirez, 20, was charged with theft and conspiracy to commit theft by the Superior Court of Maricopa County, and a State of Arizona warrant was issued for his arrest for his alleged involvement in the theft from a Brink's armored vehicle on Oct. 27 outside Costco at 1445 W. Elliot Road in Tempe. The vehicle was located a short distance away, abandoned, with money missing.

Authorities arrested Edwin Villa earlier this week in connection with the theft. Mr. Villa was the driver of the vehicle, according to authorities. He was jailed in lieu of a $2 million bond.

Mr. Ramirez is 5 feet 10 inches tall, 185 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Brinks, a non-governmental organization, is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this individual. Brinks is offering an additional reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the recovery of all of the outstanding money taken in the theft — that amount will not be disclosed. The FBI has no involvement in the administration of this reward or any of its governing terms or conditions.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Juan Carlos Ramirez is asked to call the FBI's Phoenix Field Office at 623-466-1999. Click here to report tips online.

To remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000, contact Silent Witness at 480-948-6377.
