Scottsdale police search for arson, burglary suspects

The Scottsdale Police Department seeks the public in identifying two suspects from a commercial burglary and two separate arson incidents.

Around 6:45 a.m. March 26, an unknown suspect(s) started fires at two separate residences in the area of 74th Place and Cactus Road, according to a release. Both fires were quickly put out by citizens who were nearby.

Witnesses reported seeing a suspect wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt leaving one of the scenes on foot. The suspect then left the area in a newer gray Nissan Altima.

Around 7 a.m., police said same suspect broke into Diamond House jewelry store, 9343 E. Shea Blvd.  The suspect smashed counter display cases and stole a large quantity of jewelry, according to the release.  Surveillance video behind the business shows the suspect getting into the same Nissan Ultima being driven by a second suspect.

The first suspect is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall to 6 feet tall, thin build, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with white writing on the front, gray sweatpants with a blue stripe up the sides, and gray and white tennis shoes.  No description is available for the suspect driver.
