A second vehicle may have been in the area when a fatal collision took place Aug. 6 just after midnight, Scottsdale police say, and they are asking for the public’s help with more information about a dark-colored SUV.
The fatal car/pedestrian collision took place near 128th Street and Shea Boulevard, killing 18-year-old Austin Dallman, who was riding a skateboard west on Shea Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle also traveling west.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated fully with investigators, police say, but through the investigation detectives now believe that there may have been a second vehicle in the area at the time of the collision.
The only description police have at this time, officials say, is that it was a dark-colored SUV.
The Scottsdale Police Department is asking anyone with information referencing a dark-colored SUV in the area of 128th Street and Shea Boulevard on Aug. 6, just after midnight to call detectives at 480-312-7218.
