Glendale police continue to search for a high-functioning autistic girl who left home in September and has not been seen since.

"Our hearts go out to this mother over the disappearance of her daughter, Alicia," Glendale police stated in an email. "From day one we have shared with her every tip and piece information we have received in order to locate Alicia. We have met with her mother regularly and will continue to do so until this case is resolved. We continue to ask our community to help us with any piece of information they may have which will lead to Alicia’s safe return."

Police said Alicia Navarro left her home in the 4500 block of West Rose Lane the morning of Sept. 15, 2019, five days shy of her 15th birthday. She left a note for her parents saying she was leaving but would return.

She is about 4 feet 5 inches tall and wears braces, police said. She was possibly wearing a white sweatshirt, a whitewash denim overall skirt, black and white sneakers, and carrying a silver Apple MacBook.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts can call 623-930-3000. Call 911 in an emergency. You may also contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST.
