Free antibody tests for veterans, charge for others in Glendale

The Nick Lowery Youth Foundation has partnered with Peak Health and Dr. Nancy Gaines Dillard’s Integrative Clinics to provide free, FDA authorized and Gov. Doug Ducey-approved COVID-19 antibody “finger-prick” tests to military veterans at Nancy Perry Productions’ special Car Show.

Testing will take place 5-8 p.m. Saturday, May 23 in the Mixteca Mexican Restaurant parking lot on the southwest corner of 67th Avenue and Bell Road in Glendale.

Veterans must provide their veteran service ID to participate. Tests will be made available to community members for $40 each.

Mixteca Restaurant is providing a free large-size taco for all veterans that get tested.

“I am tremendously grateful for the support of Mayor Weiers of Glendale and happy to be working with Nancy Perry Productions, Lisa Nico Productions, Peak Health and Dr. Nancy's Integrative clinics to donate hundreds of the FIRST openly available FDA authorized COVID-19 Rapid Antibody Tests to Veterans,” stated Nick Lowery, Founder and President of the Nick Lowery Youth Foundation.

Test results are available in 10 minutes with a 93% accuracy rate. Featured in the New York Times April 2, the Cellex finger prick test indicates whether you are negative, you have antibodies, or you have the virus and are developing antibodies, according to a release.

To schedule a private test, call Dr. Nancy’s Integrative Clinics at 480-669-6452 or Peak Health at 480-550-6640.

“Together, we are very excited to make a bold statement of honoring military veterans in our community because as we do, we honor ourselves and this great town, especially so on Memorial Day Weekend," Mr. Lowery stated.

A former Dartmouth and Harvard graduate, White House aide, Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame NFL kicker and former NFL Man of the Year with the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets, Nick Lowery and his Foundation's passion is to provide opportunities for service that inspire the finest qualities in human beings, the release states. The winner of the 2019 Golden Rule Award from the Arizona Interfaith Movement and 2019 American Cancer Society’s Pillar of Excellence Award, Mr. Lowery believes by transcending our biggest failures and challenges, we can all find our unique purpose and legacy.
