No matter what the calendar says, Carlos’ music playlist says it’s December 25.
The 9-year-old boy loves Christmas music all year. And if you could combine Christmas music with Fourth of July fireworks? Well, you’d have the perfect holiday.
Carlos also loves the sunshine.
All it takes for him to be happy is being outdoors, whether it be splashing in the pool, bouncing on a trampoline, exploring a neighborhood park or playing in a backyard sandbox.
“Carlos is a very neat and tidy child,” says Brianna, a child specific adoption recruiter with Aid to Adoption of Special Kids (AASK). He removes his shoes when entering the house and keeps his room shipshape.
While Carlos is non-verbal, “he is learning a lot of new ways to communicate,” Brianna says. He is learning sign language and how to communication using flash cards and a computer tablet.
Carlos would thrive in a single-parent or two-parent family.
Because he has special needs, “Carlos has a team of professionals that works with him and that state-funded team will follow him into an adoptive family,” Brianna says.
