Authorities are looking for a suspect in a fatal shooting at Glendale’s entertainment district.

Glendale police said they responded to reports of a shooting around 7 p.m. Wednesday near 95th and Glendale avenues.

Officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

He was identified as Tyler Michael Wilson, 31, of Avondale.

According to Purgatory Industries — an auto shop where Mr. Wilson worked, according to his Facebook page — someone in a Chevrolet Cruz shot at Mr. Wilson and fled.

Glendale police said Mr. Wilson was a passenger in a vehicle when he was involved in a verbal altercation with the driver of a silver 4-door sedan over Mr. Wilson’s vehicle trying to back into a parking space.

Police said the suspect vehicle then pulled ahead of Mr. Wilson’s vehicle. Mr. Wilson exited and the argument escalated. Police said the driver of the silver sedan fired multiple shots at Mr. Wilson and then fled, traveling south on 91st Avenue.

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model silver 4-door sedan with no distinguishing markings that were noticed.

The driver, who is considered armed and dangerous, is described as a Hispanic male, 25 to 35, with “spikey” dark hair, last seen wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt or jacket.

Police continue to investigate what led to the shooting.
