Scottsdale real estate agent collects hundreds of toys for homeless children

Christmas is a special time for children, but if their parents lost their jobs during the pandemic there may not be extra money for gifts this year.
That’s why Michelle Noma, a real estate agent with Corcoran Platinum Living, teamed up with industry professionals to collect toys and donations for those less fortunate in our community.
The Scottsdale real estate agent worked with Angie Sanich of Pioneer Title and Kristie Varga of Sun West Mortgage to collect $745 and 295 toys for Homeward Bound, a nonprofit that helps families that are homeless create pathways out of poverty.
“We set a goal of collecting 100 toys so that families who cannot afford gifts this year can make Christmas just a little better for their children and we were amazed by people’s generosity,” said Ms. Noma. “We want to thank our clients, colleagues, friends and members of the community who donated to our campaign to know that their efforts will create a lot of smiles this Christmas.”
The power trio received toys for children of all ages including games and craft sets, cars and trucks, sports equipment, dolls, and costumes to play dress-up.
To inspire the spirit of giving, Noma set up a Christmas tree in her office and hosted a free socially distanced visit with Santa on Dec. 6 at City North.
“Corcoran Platinum Living is thrilled to support this wonderful giving campaign during a time of year that many families in our community are struggling,” said Michelle Macklin, Corcoran Platinum Living co-founder. “Michelle Noma has a huge heart and we are so proud of her efforts to bring real estate industry partners together for a great cause that will bring joy to so many families.”
Corcoran Platinum Living is also raising money for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital this holiday season.
The independent brokerage and its local agents have a history of giving back to nonprofit organizations within the Valley community throughout the year including donating water bottles to Phoenix Rescue Mission in the summer, collecting donations for Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and encouraging agents to help Arizona Small Dog Rescue.
