Scottsdale Gallery Association announces Art + Chocolate Gold Palette ArtWalk

Fall event to kickoff 46th season on Thursday, Oct. 8

The Scottsdale Gallery Association announced the return of its long running Gold Palette ArtWalk series with its Art + Chocolate-themed event on Thursday, Oct. 8.

Serving as the kickoff to the association’s 46th season, the Art + Chocolate ArtWalk, held throughout the Scottsdale Arts District — which resides along Main Street from Scottsdale Road to Goldwater Boulevard and north of Indian School on Marshall Way to Fifth Avenue — welcomes guests to peruse galleries, view local and national art and to be serenaded by a steel drum band as they stroll the streets of Old Town.

Participating galleries will feature chocolate tasting courtesy of local chocolatier Cerreta Candy Co., according to a press release.

This SGA-hosted Gold Palette ArtWalk and its participating member galleries celebrate the return of the robust art community and its 46th season kickoff with special musical entertainment and live artist demonstrations.

Masks are required, and the ArtWalk will abide by all state and local mandates in regards to COVID-19.

“We are grateful to bring our beloved ArtWalk back to the streets of Old Town Scottsdale,” said Scottsdale Gallery Association President French Thompson in a prepared statement. “We hope to continue to be the collaborative force for our artists to thrive in here Scottsdale — as well as on a national and global scale — despite the challenges of the pandemic.”

From 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, local art galleries within the Scottsdale Arts District will host individual events of their own.

The Gold Palette ArtWalk brings together the finest art in Scottsdale, including 28 galleries and two museums — Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West.
