The 67th Annual Parada del Sol and Trail's End Festival took place in Old Town Scottsdale on Feb. 8, bringing together the West’s Most Western community.

This year’s theme was “Western Legends,” celebrating Scottsdale’s past, present and future. The event included colorful floats, mounted horse riders, marching bands, wagons and stagecoaches.

After the parade, the roads in Old Town Scottsdale were closed down for a western-spirited festival featuring live music, street entertainment, dancing, a wine garden and a cowboy kids’ zone.

Leading up to the beloved parade, Scottsdale Western Week included the Hashknife Pony Express, with riders blazing their trail from the small town of Holbrook.

At noon, the Pony Express arrived at Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, concluding their 200-mile trek with more than 20,000 pieces of mail.

Western Week also featured a western farmers market and the Arizona Indian Festival.
