Meet Your Neighbor: Goshkarian uses technology to insure those in need

Scottsdale resident and businessman Wayne Goshkarian is an insurance expert whose knowledge has helped hard-to-place groups secure necessary coverage.

With his 40 years of expertise, he earned his insurance license in December 1977 and has been based in Phoenix and Scottsdale for the entire time except for eight years in Oxford, England. His business, Dylan Consulting, in Scottsdale Airpark is among the first of its kind to use cutting-edge technology. 

He was also among the first to create the laptop employee benefits communication system in 1993 for a large casino hotel and a web-based enrollment system in 1999 for a tech company, according to a press release.

In honor of his late son Dylan, who passed at two months old from a reported heart condition, he launched Dylan Consulting in 2013. Now, with eight employees, the company has helped secure more than 95,000 policies in 2020 alone.

Favorite cause is St. Mary’s Food Bank because they bring food to those in need, which was needed even more during the pandemic.

Interests and hobbies:
He loves aviation and currently bases the company jet at Scottsdale Airport (KSDL) at Signature Flight Support.  He also loves flying over his house landing on R21.
